Technology Enablement Initiative
Overview
Harvard is excited to offer the Technology Enablement Initiative, a six-month, cohort-based peer mentorship experience and in collaboration with the MS-CC. This program is intended for IT Professionals (e.g., staff and administrators working in technology roles) at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Participants will engage in IT Academy core courses, peer mentoring, and collaborative learning opportunities that promote knowledge sharing, skill development, and cross-institutional collaboration.
IT Academy is a program developed by Harvard University Information Technology (HUIT) that is committed to fostering a culture of continuous learning and development for IT professionals. IT Academy helps create a community that is rooted in curiosity, inclusive excellence, and learning. Through the Technology Enablement Initiative (January through June 2026), IT professionals at HBCUs will engage in coursework and peer mentoring that uniquely positions them to achieve goals, share experiences, and transfer knowledge across institutions.
This effort is supported by Harvard University Information Technology and the Harvard & the Legacy of Slavery Initiative, in support of HBCUs and in collaboration with the MS-CC.
