Stephanie Gumble
Stephanie Gumble is the Chief Operating Officer of Harvard University Information Technology (HUIT). In this role, she oversees Administration & Finance and IT Client Services, ensuring operational effectiveness, financial sustainability, and seamless customer experience across HUIT. She also leads IT service management, risk management, and business continuity efforts. Additionally, Stephanie drives HUIT’s employee experience efforts and oversees programs that unite the university’s IT community, including the IT Academy and annual IT Summit.
Stephanie brings more than 20 years of experience in higher education. Previously at Harvard, Stephanie served as Associate Director of Policy and Projects for the Office of the President, leading university-wide initiatives, including sustainability and public service, and projects focused on education and policy. She began her Harvard career on the federal relations team, supporting the university’s efforts on Capitol Hill to increase federal funding for research and financial aid. Before joining Harvard, Stephanie held positions at Fidelity Management & Research Company and Boston College.
A native of Texas, Stephanie holds a BA in English and philosophy from Baylor University. Prior to moving to the Boston area, she taught high school English in central Texas.
