Tech Talk: Reducing the Barrier: How User Research is Shaping HarvardSites

Date and Time

November 10, 2026
01:00PM - 02:00PM EST

Join us for our next Tech Talk, featuring colleagues from HUIT Client Services discussing how user research can inform product and service improvements.

Speakers:

  • Gabriel Caro, Manager, Client Engagement
  • Dan Cabral, UX/UI Designer
  • Kenton Doyle, Director, Harvard Web Publishing
  • Laurier Cress, UX Designer/Researcher
  • Peter Farrow, Senior Technical Lead, Web Platforms

This session will highlight two improvements that emerged directly from user research: an admin notification system and a series of short, self-paced training videos. Both trace back to themes that emerged from a survey of over 160 HarvardSites Drupal site builders. We'll walk through what the survey found and how we leveraged the voice of the user to inform our product and service improvements.
