##  Overview 

Panopto is a video platform that is used for lecture capture and also allows you to record audio, video, and entire screens or application windows (e.g., PowerPoint); manage and upload your recorded videos and other media assets to course sites in Canvas; and utilize interactive video features (e.g., notes, bookmarks, quizzes), video captioning, and webcasting.



 

 ### Eligibility

**Faculty, staff, researchers,** and **students** in Central Administration, FAS, College, GSAS, SEAS, GSD, GSE, HDS, HKS, HMS (Quad), HSDM (Quad), SPH

*Must have a Canvas account*



 

 ### Data classification level

Approved for up to [Level 3 confidential data](https://privsec.harvard.edu/data-classification-table)



 

 ### Storage

Videos are archived after two years and deleted after four years.
