##  Overview 

Okta is the University’s authentication tool used for accessing HarvardKey-protected resources. Okta offers both multi-factor authentication and passwordless methods for verifying your identity.

Identity verification adds an extra layer of security to your HarvardKey account and is encouraged for all users. Some users are required to use multi-factor or passwordless authentication when accessing applications or resources protected by HarvardKey.

**Faculty, staff, researchers,** and **students** in Central Administration, FAS, College, DCE, GSAS, SEAS, GSD, GSE, HBS, HKS, HDS, HLS, HMS (Quad), HSDM (Quad), Radcliffe, SPH
