#  Canvas cyber incident

As of this morning, Friday, May 8, the Canvas platform is accessible to Harvard users.

This incident is understood to impact many Instructure customers worldwide and is not specific to Harvard.

Harvard is aware that Instructure—the parent company of the Canvas learning management platform used at Harvard—has reported a cybersecurity incident, which it reports is now contained.

This incident is understood to impact many Instructure customers worldwide and is not specific to Harvard.

We are working with Instructure to understand any specific potential impact to Harvard. The Canvas platform remains operational, and no other Harvard systems are impacted.
