## Overview

Microsoft Copilot is Microsoft’s AI assistant built into Microsoft 365. It helps with writing, summarizing, analyzing data, and creating content from natural-language prompts, and can work across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and the web.

Harvard Microsoft Copilot licenses include access to:

*Basic tier (available to all Harvard Microsoft 365 users):*

- **Copilot Chat:** An AI chat assistant available in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, the Microsoft 365 app, and the Edge sidebar. Included with your Harvard Microsoft 365 account at no extra cost, with web-grounded answers, writing help, and general productivity assistance.

*Premium tier (available by request at additional cost):*

- **Microsoft 365 Copilot app:** Brings together Copilot Chat, Search, Agents, Pages, and Notebooks in one place, grounded in your own Harvard email, files, meetings, and chats.
- **Copilot in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams:** In-app AI assistance for drafting and editing documents, analyzing data and building formulas, designing presentations, managing your inbox, recapping meetings, and creating images.
- **Copilot Notebooks and Pages:** Turn Copilot conversations into organized, shareable content, with a saved history you can return to and build on.
- **Copilot agents:** Pre-built agents (such as Researcher and Analyst) and SharePoint agents that can complete multi-step tasks grounded in your Harvard work data.
