##  Overview 

Kiteworks secure file transfer allows you to securely send files with [high-risk, confidential data (Level 4)](https://privsec.harvard.edu/data-classification-table), internally and externally. Kiteworks is only recommended for Harvard Google Workspace users who don’t have access to a Microsoft 365 email account or anyone who needs to send attachments that are greater than 150 MB. (Microsoft 365 users should instead use [Outlook's message encryption feature for securely sending confidential files](https://harvard.service-now.com/ithelp?id=kb_article&sys_id=cea973b3dbf8e0d0441560fdd39619d8) with low- to high-risk data.)



 

 ### Eligibility

**Faculty, staff,** and **researchers** in Central Administration, FAS, College, DCE, GSAS, SEAS, GSD, GSE, HBS, HDS, HKS, HDS, HMS (Quad), HSDM (Quad), Radcliffe, SPH



 

 ### Data classification level

Approved for up to [Level 4 confidential data](https://privsec.harvard.edu/data-classification-table)



 

 ### Storage

Files sent through Kiteworks are accessible for 14 days. After 14 days, they are permanently deleted.
