##  Overview 

Grouper is an enterprise group and access management system that is integrated with Harvard source systems to provide solutions for business applications. Grouper automates changes to access privileges as a user’s role changes (e.g., from student to alumni, from employee to retiree, from employee in FAS to employee in CADM), and enables delegated group management to empower the right people to manage access. Grouper provides coarse grained authorization for applications integrated with HarvardKey through group authorization filters and provisions groups to downstream systems for access management and mailing lists.
